It is pretty much official, Ryan Gosling has taken over movies, television, the internet, and the hearts of girls all over the nation.  Sure, Bradley Cooper won People’s Sexiest Man, and he does have the fact that he speaks fluent French going for him.  In all of our hearts though we know that Ryan Gosling really and truly is the sexiest.

One job that more and more stars are adding to their already expansive resumes is fashion designer.  Some choose to design clothes that everyday people can purchase to look trendy and fun, but others are going the opposite way creating clothes that not many average joes and janes can add to their closet.  Let’s have a look at some of today’s celebrity fashion designers, shall we?

These three sisters who are seemingly everywhere are even in your local Sears stores.  That’s right you can go to Sears, get some home appliances, a television, and your latest Kardashian Kollection favorite fashions.  You might be thinking, “Wait isn’t Sears the store that is closing all those locations?”  You are right, my friend.  Maybe the Kardashian Klan’s fashions aren’t all that fab.

Jessica Simpson

She might have played a ditz in the reality show “The Newlyweds,” but this girl knows her stuff.  Her clothing, shoes, and accessories lines are all affordable and adorable.  On top of it all, Jessica Simpson is the top paid star for her line of clothing.

Justin Timberlake

From Mickey Mouse Club member, to boy bander, to actor, golf course designer/owner all the way to fashion designer, is there anything this guy doesn’t do?  His line of clothing is called William Rast, and it features fashion for the trendy and edgy.  Most of the items are pretty pricey, but there was a William Rast for Target that made his fashion briefly affordable.

There are dozens and dozens of stars out there with their own fashion lines.  Most of them are not things that normal people would want to spend money on unfortunately.  Maybe all these stars should take some tips from Jessica Simpson…

Many celebrities change their eye color through colored contact lenses. Some of them do this because they want to spice up the fact that they have to have contact lenses while others wear colored contact lenses because they simply want to change their eye color for what ever reason.

Celebrities of all sorts and eye colors turn to colored contact lenses to change their eye color. Some of them change their eye color for daily use while others only have a new color for roles in movies or photo shoots. The latest star to be seen with a new eye color is Snooki from the Jersey Shore. She traded her natural big brown eyes for some bright blue colored contact lenses as she was walking the streets of New York with her boyfriend. She commented on her look as a blue eyed girl saying that she thought she “looked like a vampire”. She isn’t planning to make the look permanent, as she was seen without them in the days following her blue eyed outing.

Paris Hilton also changes her eye color with colored lenses, she trades her natural brown eyes for blue eyes contact lenses that have an eye popping black ring around the edge. Britney Spears swaps her natural brown eyes for blue and green contact lenses. Sometimes she has been seen with two different colors in at the same time. Jessica Alba has been spotted with both her natural big brown eyes and bright blue eyes made by colored contact lenses. Angelina Jolie has naturally beautiful blue eyes but she has been seen with both green contacts and brown contacts. She was wearing brown contacts in her most recent movie, Salt. Tila Tequila, from the hit tv show naturally has brown eyes but she frequently wears blue/ gold and green contact lenses. Robert Pattinson who is known for his bright blue eyes trades them out for some natural brown contacts. Lindsey Lohan has been spotted changing out her natural green eyes for bright blue contacts.

The list goes on and on for stars that wish to change their eye color. Do you think that they change their eye color because it’s what they want or what they think the public wants? There is a large number of people with brown eyes changing them to blue or green. Who knew celebrity contact lenses would be so popular?

Sam Childers was a biker and dug dealing criminal until he found the lord and decided to go to Africa. There he found an orphanage in Sudan that was causing children to be used in war. In the hopes of ending the madness he began a 13 year project to teach these children how to be members of the Lord’s Resistance Army. Childers is originally from Pennsylvania and later became a leader in the crusades.

Actor Gerard Butler had an advantage in learning how to play his role in the upcoming movie. He got to sit down and meet the real life star Sam Childers. In the past Gerard’s roles have been historical, Butler explains having a new take on his role but saying “Those other roles were based on historic characters who became the stuff of legend, but Sam is a guy of our times”. He also said ”There is more complexity in a modern-day character who’s a drug addict and a biker turned businessman, missionary and soldier. You don’t get roles like this very often.”

Butler said “”When I walked into Sam’s house, he had been so built up by everyone, I didn’t know what to expect,” Butler says. “I met this absolutely dominant alpha male who on one hand loves the attention but on the other hand loves the company of his family and friends. This is his story and this is his moment to tell it to the world. I had to bow down to that. But there is a darkness in him as well. He could not go through all the things that are in the movie by being Mr. Nice Guy.”, when he went to meet Sam Childers. During his visit he had to master the role of Childers in the hopes that he could play the role in such a way that it shows the public the man behind the action.

“Machine Gun Preacher” was written by Jason Keller and directed by Marc Forster. The movie is scheduled to have a limited release on September 23, 2011. Even with the release date so far away there is a lot of buzz about the movie in the media.

It does not seem like that long ago when the two were on the American Idol stage passionately dancing together and performing.  In fact it was less than two months ago.  I suppose being a performer gives people the ability to simply act when it comes to all aspects of their life.

Now, while the two are no longer committed to their relationship, don’t you worry about the fashion line that they have started working on for Kohl’s.  Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will still be working on the clothing line, and even when they began the adventure in the beginning, there were two separate contracts.  One contract was for Jennifer and the other for Marc.  So, it appears that Jennifer will stick with the women’s fashions, while Mr. Anthony will take on the designing of the men’s line.  That makes sense after all.

Not only will the ex-couple continue with their Kohl’s project, but they will also continue working on their reality show ­­¡Q’Viva! The Chosen which is a competition show for Latin American countries.  On the show’s website it still states, “Leading the journey are iconic couple, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony…”  Well, that phrase might have to be changed, but the two will still tour and find the best talent.

If you recall, this is Jenny from the Block’s third marriage to go asunder.  In 1998 her 11 month marriage to Ojani Noa ended, and in 2003 the less than two year marriage to dancer Chris Judd was terminated.  Everyone kind of assumed though that this one was really going to work out for Lopez.  The two seemed to really try to make it until recent.

Hopefully the two will stick to their word and keep everything amicable, especially for the sake of their twins.

She even stated, “I wasn’t going to continue to be alive if I continued to treat my body that way I was.”  That alone encouraged her to find help and treatment in October of last year.  The struggles that the star faced and received treatment for were bulimia, anorexia, and self-mutilation (cutting).  The fact that she was brave enough to reach out for help when she truly needed it has proven to be an encouragement for girls all over who face the same battles on a daily basis.  She has heard of many of her fans who have been motivated by her efforts and sought out help as well.

The eating disorders stemmed from years of an unhealthy look on weight and being called fat as a child.  During the interview Lovato states that she has struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts and eating disorders since the age of seven.  As early as that age, she was having suicidal thoughts.  Fortunately for her, while in the rehab facility she was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder.  That explained so many of the issues that she has had to face for so many years.

Demi Lovato’s new single “Skyscraper” is a song that reflects her journey.  It revolves around coming back from a broken spirit stronger and more triumphant.  The song was recorded before admitting to her flaws and entering rehabilitation, but she also recorded it after leaving.  The first version of the song showed a true vulnerability in her voice, and her voice was weakened due to her bulimic purging.  She actually chose to go with the original recording because of all of that.  It was her cry for help.

Although Demi Lovato has had many battles and struggles, she has proven to be a mature and incredible young star, and that is a rare thing to see in today’s world.  Here at SE xmacheen, we are thinking of Demi and hoping for great success for her!
